Sensex, Nifty open flat; Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma up -- 30 Nov 2016

                                         

The market has opened flat on Wednesday. The Sensex is up 75.90 points or 0.3 percent at 26469.91 and the Nifty is up 27.70 points or 0.3 percent at 8169.85. About 273 shares have advanced, 64 shares declined, and 22 shares are unchanged.

Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank and GAIL are top gainers while ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Cipla are losers in the Sensex. 

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 68.67 per dollar versus 68.65 Tuesday.

The 30-share index was trading 60 points higher or 0.24 per cent at 26,456. It touched a high of 26,484.07 and a low of 26,402.23 in morning trade. 

The Nifty50 was trading at 8,155 up 13 points or 0.16 per cent. It touched a high of 8,173.40 and a low of 8,142.40 in the first 30 minutes of trade. 

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.65 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.77 per cent higher. 


HDFC Bank (up 0.8 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1 per cent), TCS (up 0.5 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki (up 1.1 per cent) were the major Sensex gainers. 

HDFC (down 0.8 per cent), InfosysBSE 0.04 % (down 0.2 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.5 per cent), and Tata Steel (down 0.8 per cent) were among the major Sensex losers.
