Nifty hovers around 8100, Sensex unsteady;banks fall on RBI move -- 28 Nov 2016

                                         

The Sensex is down 45.46 points or 0.2 percent at 26270.88 and the Nifty is down 13.70 points or 0.2 percent at 8100.60. About 1110 shares have advanced, 627 shares declined, and 89 shares are unchanged.

Hero MotoCorp, Cipla, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints and Bajaj Auto are top gainers while SBI, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Axis Bank and TCS are losers in the Sensex.

The 30-share index was trading 80 points lower or 0.30 per cent at 26,237. It touched a high of 26,303.52 and a low of 26,183.22 in morning trade. 

The Nifty50 was trading at 8,084 down 30 points or 0.37 per cent. It touched a high of 8,086.15 and a low of 8,066.50 in the first 30 minutes of trade. 

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.26 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.07 per cent higher. 

Cipla (up 1.7 per cent), Asian PaintsBSE 0.83 % (up 1.1per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.1 per cent) and Bharti AirtelBSE 1.40 % (up 0.80 per cent) were the major Sensex gainers. 

State Bank of India (down 3 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.67 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.3 per cent), GAIL IndiaBSE 1.33 % (down 0.7 per cent), and ONGCBSE -0.09 % (down 0.52 per cent) were among the major Sensex losers.
